Leadership Ethos

My leadership philosophy centers on empowering people to excel through recognition of their unique talents and strategic development of their capabilities. I view leadership as a privilege that comes with ultimate responsibility, shaped by military discipline and diverse civilian IT experiences. These taught me to lead by example and listen first to understand individual motivations.

I believe the strongest teams emerge when leaders invest in comprehensive onboarding, continuous education, and peer-to-peer learning environments that foster both technical excellence and personal growth. Mentorship is critical to my approach—it must be reciprocal. I've learned tremendously through self-reflection while helping others navigate their journey.

As a leader, I serve both as a strategic architect and a bridge builder—translating complex technical concepts into actionable solutions while creating clear pathways for team success. I do this through well-defined roles, responsibilities, and expectations. My commitment extends beyond immediate organizational goals to include developing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through panel discussions, veteran mentoring and community engagement.

The legacy I want to create is one of building exceptional individuals who lead by example. I champion programs that train, onboard, and develop high performers, people who will shape the future of our field through both technical excellence and a genuine commitment to helping others grow.
